In addition to the classic white or colourless occurrences, we specialise in some of nature’s most precious treasures and consider ourselves fortunate to have particularly privileged access to diamonds in the coloured spectrum. It thereby is a matter of course for us that every VAINARD diamond is mined responsibly and can be traced back to its source.

Such specimens that have sufficient colour saturation are called fancy-coloured or “fancy colour diamonds”. Pink, blue and green shades are consid wirered particularly rare – most of these selections do not even reach 1 carat when cut.

Yet they sometimes achieve record prices at auctions and the increasing demand with a very limited supply makes the prices rise continuously.

Over the past decades, pink diamonds in particular have steadily increased in value. Due to the closure of the Argyle Mine at the end of 2020, which was known to be the main source of supply (95% of the world’s deposits), a significant increase in value can also be expected in the future.
